Environment Assessment

The latest decision by the MOEF which gives environment clearance to the South Korean steelmaker POSCO and reject the case of vedanta steel at niyamgiri hills, is a controversial decision. It’s right that the new industries are must for the economic development and wealth creation for the poor masses of india but the sustainability of the environment is also of numero uno importance. The grant of the environment clearance to the POSCO without a comprehensive assessment of the all parts of the steel plant including the mines, port, railway line and housing facility which are the integral parts of the project, the assessment seems hollow. The national green tribunal also recommended the central government that the cumulative impact should be considered before providing clearance.

Coal blocks allocation issue

As per the SC directive if the government now scraps all the allocations, it will likely hamper the confidence of the industry in the mining field and in turn jeopardize the dream of higher industrial growth in near feature. The de-allocation will frustrate the genuine mining companies, as lot of money and time is already invested by them and most of the coal blocks are not developed because of the delay in environment clearance by the state and central government. This also effects the banking sector as they also invested huge funds in mining companies. The pragmatic solution to this issue is discovering appropriate price for the block by auction and ask the allottees to pay the same.

What's got into the people of india, are they not able to digest the truth? Why everybody is apposing this change? Why everybody is negative about this change? Why everybody is talking about what's going to be the future(James Cameron fans??), what AAP will became in, but not what AAP is doing in the present? Why now the good deeds of modi coming into the picture which were absent during the last MLA elections?

AAP is good or bad but its making and catalysing changes in indian politics and most of the changes are pro people. For example the newly chosen CM of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje recently announced the measures which are more or less same as AAP's declarations. In them, no red light on public servants vehicles ; no gun men to ministers and simplicity for public servants are few. In Maharashtra the cutting down of electricity bills is the new buzz, which can be seen as an effect of AAP's decisions in New Delhi. Also, all the good governance example of modi(may be they existed before but was unnoticed) are coming out as a reply to the AAP's initiatives.

The history teaches us that people will appose the drastic changes. But the true social changers like Buddha,Gandhi and Nelson Mandela will stay on their path and the history will remember them but the losers who always hates the change.

Why not a part of the social change which took place in delhi?

Why i am not a part of this struggle? Even i know the benefits of democratic system still the truth of real working of this system is not hidden from me. Even I, love being a part of the world's largest and most unlikely democracy and i am aware of my responsibility of making this as most efficient.
Being a part of struggle of this kind and scale is a path of thrones, but being a person with full knowledge and still inactiveness makes it more painful.
To politically educate people is something feasible for a person like me! Have to take this challenge and act upon this feeling.

India

It's been a while that i am writing something here, may be it's due to me changing aspirations in life or my lazy will, whatever it's i am back.
Number of things are on my mind…. Kejriwal, Degraded level of journalism and future of our country.
I'll start with Arvind kejriwal, when he started his voyage i thought, "he is a new joker in the circus Anna, a new propaganda played by the opposition group", but as he pulled out a rabbit out of a hat in delhi, he proved me wrong. But i smelled this difference about him a long time ago, as he was against a mountain but still he was not compromising. It's unique about Arvind and that's why he did a miracle in delhi and got a dissent figure of 28/70 in Delhi. As no political party in delhi got majority the real question arises that should AAP as a second largest party, should get support of congress and make  a government. There are two options for AAP now, first AAP stay away from the chair and became true to its pre-poll announcement that it'll not give or take support, second AAP make a change in it's stance and create a government with unconditional support from congress.
I am in support of the second option where AAP makes a government and congress gives support and thus can't move an non-confidence move in 6 month in which the LS elections are due. Which give AAP enough time to put in place its majors to win the full heart of the people. Even if the congress tries to do it's black magic after 6 months AAP can get full support of the people.

Second, I am also very unhappy with the level of journalism these days. Now a days i am in rajasthan and because my parents are not very found of english, i have to read hindi daily. After reading Hindu, i am very unhappy seeing the level of journalism. This hindi national daily "Dainik bhaskar" talks about "beard of Abraham lincoln" when it can talk about article 377 or the government in delhi. It'll put a news in such a way that it'll make a big HEADLINE even though in truth it's was not worth a single paisa. To prove it, lets take an example of recent Rahul gandhi private jet fiasco at IGI, first no body gives a paisa about Rahul gandhi, second as DGCA said that it was not a security issue; but our beloved journalist made it a first page news with headlines : "Rahul gandhi just saved from Air crash". In one other case(UPSC calendar) this newspaper put up the last date of receiving of application for different exams, as a date of exam.

Now last and the most important issue is nation's future. This thought arises from the discussion i had with my father. We were discussing about the election in rajasthan and the possible composition of  government in delhi. And as i was happy with the last government in Rasjathan , i was fighting my case against the new government. My father pointed out that as it was a BJP wave, and thus it's appropriate to give votes to BJP candidate. And my point was that as the government is a reflection of people, we should give a vote to a party or rather not to a party and  even definitely not to a party but to a candidate who is a genuine one. Even if we don't know the candidates personally, but his criminal record and his asset can give us a very good estimate of a right choice. By choosing such person we can hope for a good person in government which i hope happened in delhi, as the good governance was the only issue from one of the party there. But this was not the case in rajasthan here the party politics was on high. So where we think we are heading now, same old personality cult, first JLN to Indra and now MODI??
We should stop it now and concentrate on electing a candidate on the decentralise issues, not due to his party. Me learnt it after these elections do WE?

The Wind

The wind comes and set me free,
Showing me what I can truely be.
Whispering secrets in my ear,
Soft enough where only I can hear.
It tells the truth, it always has,
It hints your future and reminds you of the past.
It touches your face with a soft brush,
Telling you quietly for you to hush.
So listen carefully next time it's here,
Because it's God whispering in your ear.

Broken

Broken
A broken heart,
A broken dream,
A daughter's pain,
A mother's scream,
A bathroom sink,
A razor blade,
A teenage heartache,
A deep cut made.

We must love someone

We must love someone,
if we are to justify
our presence on this earth.
We must keep loving all our days,
someone, anyone, anywhere
outside our selves.
For even the Sarus crane
will grieve over its lost companion,
and the Seal its mate.

Somewhere in life
there must be someone
to take your hand
and share the torrid day.
Without the touch of love
There is no life, and we must fade away.

You should feel safe around doctors RIGHT???

Excuse my language... but one of the doctors at the nearest to my house, is a total asshole. The other night, my grandma had to go to the hospital. And she's got really bad Alzheimers disease.. In other words.. She got the mind of about a 6 year old. And she can't remember much at all.

But anyway... She had to go to the hospital a few days ago. and Because of her mind frame, when she got there, she was scared, didn't know where she was. She was crying and she wanted to go home. She started freaking out when the doctor came in. And they made my aunt leave the room, which that was the last little bit of comfort my grandma had with her. So then the doctor's wanted to give her a sedative...but my grandma like i said, was scared, and crying... So they tried getting her to turn over...but she didn't want to. So the doctor GRABBED her and totally flipped her over... and she's so FRAGILE, she's old..and she bruises soooo easily.. doctor's CANNOT treat people like that... It's just not fucking right.

Birthday girl!

The other day it was my birthday, and well my parents were sick..and I'm just fortunate enough to have a best friend that loves me. And She took me away for the day... :D

First off, we went shopping and my best friend got her hair dyed.. Then after that we went to her nephew's basketball game, Which was awesome.. They are about 7 years old.. It's so much fun to watch little kids. And after the basket ball game, I spent the rest of the day with her family... Oh boy.... Let me tell ya... When you're around them... You have to be on FULL alert...

After the basketball game we went to lunch.. There was about 9-10 of us. (Me, My best friend, her sister, her sister's husband, my best frd's mom....and 3 little kids... yeah you get the point.) Well I didn't realize it.. but her sister told one of the waitresses it was my B-day...and After we got done eating, A bunch of waiters and waitresses came out. One waiter hooked a couple balloons off my head...and then on of the waitresses yelled out to the rest of the people in the restaurant "EVERYBODY!! OUR FRIEND KATIE IS TURNING 15 TODAY!!!!" then about that time...everybody turned and they started singing... "HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!" and so on.. I was red in the face :P haha i was so surprised..

Then after that, we went to a Bar-B-Que at my best friend's Aunt's house.. It was fun, I got to meet most of her family... Then they took me home after dark..

I got home... and my sister, Kerrie, was acting really weird.. And then she told me to go put my jacket away.. So I walked in my room, and on my bed was a pile of gifts.. I was really surprised...

I feel spoiled... my parents spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than they should have on me... It was one of the best Birthdays :D

Car nut

So I know it's kind of weird.. but I'm a total car nut.. I love being out in the shop with my dad working on cars. Besides getting to spend time with my dad (Who is awesome) I get to work on cars with him. Right now my dad and I have so many different projects going on. We have about 3 different cars, a race car, AND a plane that we are building... and 2 of those cars are mine.. Well one car, and the race car are mine.

I'm excited!! Race season starts up on April 3rd!! To bad, I can't race this year... For one thing.. my race car isn't finished..and another thing.. I can't race till I'm 16 :( But that's okay... I guess... My dad can race... I'll be his pit crew! :D

Okay.. I'm done rambling about cars... I think... :)

It burns!!!

My mom tricked me.....

Earlier today we got home, and I wanted a snack, So I went to the fridge and grabbed a Green Bell Pepper... Or that's what I thought it was, And I asked my mom if it was a bell pepper, and she said yeah. So.... I took a big bite....well it turned out to be a spicy pepper...it was REALLY hot... I started freaking out, cus my mouth was on fire, and my mom is standing there laughing..

I ended up drinking about 4 glasses of milk (Milk is supossed to coat your throat, and take away the burning... yeah well it DIDN'T!!) So then my mom told me to take a bite of peanut butter (Ewww!!) But I did anyway...and it didn't help at all... Just made my mouth gooey :( Then I tried water...but it just spread the burn around.... So finally when my eyes were tearing up, my nose was burning, my lips were burning, and my mouth was on fire.... my mom told me to try some salt, and it FINALLY took the burn away...at least enough to where it wasn't TERRIBLE anymore...

So then I went back to what I was doing.... everything was fine...and about 30 min. after I ate the pepper, I rubbed my eyes..... BAD IDEA!!!!! My eyes started tearing up all over again!! :'(

Yeah...then after that... well.... I made sure not to touch my face again.... :)

Homeschool disease

So I don't go to public school like everyone else, I do online schooling. My friends give me such crap about it. They are always bugging me about it. Saying that I don't have to do anything, my schooling is a piece of cake. This is an exact quote from one of my friends "Dude, your school is so easy, you could go shopping, Okay... This pair of jeans plus this pair of jeans equals CUTE!!" (Intelligent right??) I can be talking to someone, even a full grown adult, and they ask me where I go to school, and I explain... It's amazing how different they treat me. It's like I have a disease, The disease of stupid or something.

What people don't realize is, sure they think it's easy, you know, don't have to do anything because there's no teachers...But there are still requirements we have to meet, we have to pass, we have to do everything like normal, we just don't have to sit in classes for HOURS.... People should really learn to know what they are talking about before they make judgments.. Even colleges are looking more at the homeschool students because we are smarter (Not trying to sound like I'm all that, because I'm not.) But it's the truth. We have more one-on-one time, So we learn more.

But people don't think of it that way.. Most of the time, they hear that you're homeschooled, and they start talking to you different... Like you're retarded and can't understand them if they talk normal... I try not to let it get to me...but sometimes... I just can't take it anymore...

So please.. If you're going to judge somebody or how they do something...make sure you know what you're talking about, and you have all your facts right, BEFORE you judge....

Ironic isn't it?

"A DJ in England grants a listener's request, he plays Van Halen's "Jump" as a woman leaps from a 30 foot bridge...

Relax, she only suffered minor injuries, And in the DJ's defense, he immediately played another Van Halen Classic "Somebody Get Me a Doctor."

How Ironic...lol

Gold dredging & Self esteem issues

People believe that gold dredging is bad for the fish in the rivers. (Gold dredging is like an underwater vaccum, that sucks up clean gravel, and puts the clean gravel right back in the creek.) A group of people have been trying to get dredging shut down in California for a long time. and for a few months it look as though they were going to get their wish, but now things are looking up for the miners.

The group of people who think dredging is bad believes that dredges harm the fish, they cover up the fish eggs, they pollute the waters. But a dredge does NONE of that..

And now that the miners see that they might have a chance.. They have become smart asses (Which is actually very funny) by saying that "Everyone knows that dredging churns up new food for fish . Now they will get overweight , develop blood pressure and circulation problems , become susceptable to heart and diabetic disease not to mention low self esteem."

I didn't realize fish had self esteem issues....LMAO

Mac Attack

Okay, The other day I was reading an article in a magazine...and I came to this article and I couldn't help but laugh.

If Santa delivers a new computer to your house, take extra care when you set it up. Every year, over 6,000 people end up in the ER because of broken toes from dropped laptops, bashed knees from tripping over cords, or other computer-related injuries. "You wouldn't believe how many people get hurt because they trip over something while carrying a computer," says researcher Lara B Mckenzie.

You just kinda have to laugh...over 6,000..Wow..just Wow....

R.I.P To The Officers Who Give Their Life For Our Safety

Once again there has been another shooting in my neighborhood. There has been 3 shootings in the last 2 months. 5 dead police officers, and 3 badly injured...

The first shooting, 1 officer, and 1 trainee were discussing a routine traffic stop, and they were parked in the residential part of Seattle, When all of a sudden their car was struck by several gunshots. The officer was killed instantly, and the trainee was hit in her back. She was able to fire a couple shots. She is now doing fine. This was the first intentional homicide since 1994.

The second shooting involved 4 Tacoma police officers. They were sitting in a coffee shop, when a man walked in and open fired. 3 officers were killed instantly. 1 officer was able to fire back before he died.

The third shooting happened about 2 days ago. There was a domestic dispute called into the police station, So 2 deputies went out to help. When they got there, everybody was cooperating, and the officers were invited into the home, Everything was fine. The drunk man even agreed to leave the premises. He went up stairs to grab his jacket, when he came back down, he had a gun and he open fired. Both officers were hit, and one officer shot back and killed the man. Then the 16 year old daughter, and the brother of the man, grabbed the officers, pulled them into another room, and proceeded to give the officers medical attention until the ambulance got there. "They went out of their way to help them." says another office who arrived later. The girl and brother might have saved these men's lives. If it weren't for them. these men might not be here now. They are in critical condition, but should survive..

But some of these officers were friends of mine, and my family's. They just got shot for no reason at all. Now policemen are going to have to worry about getting their coffee in the morning, because they never know who might shoot them.

R.I.P. They are great people willing to give their lives for the safety of the rest of us. That is a true hero..
