R.I.P To The Officers Who Give Their Life For Our Safety

Once again there has been another shooting in my neighborhood. There has been 3 shootings in the last 2 months. 5 dead police officers, and 3 badly injured...

The first shooting, 1 officer, and 1 trainee were discussing a routine traffic stop, and they were parked in the residential part of Seattle, When all of a sudden their car was struck by several gunshots. The officer was killed instantly, and the trainee was hit in her back. She was able to fire a couple shots. She is now doing fine. This was the first intentional homicide since 1994.

The second shooting involved 4 Tacoma police officers. They were sitting in a coffee shop, when a man walked in and open fired. 3 officers were killed instantly. 1 officer was able to fire back before he died.

The third shooting happened about 2 days ago. There was a domestic dispute called into the police station, So 2 deputies went out to help. When they got there, everybody was cooperating, and the officers were invited into the home, Everything was fine. The drunk man even agreed to leave the premises. He went up stairs to grab his jacket, when he came back down, he had a gun and he open fired. Both officers were hit, and one officer shot back and killed the man. Then the 16 year old daughter, and the brother of the man, grabbed the officers, pulled them into another room, and proceeded to give the officers medical attention until the ambulance got there. "They went out of their way to help them." says another office who arrived later. The girl and brother might have saved these men's lives. If it weren't for them. these men might not be here now. They are in critical condition, but should survive..

But some of these officers were friends of mine, and my family's. They just got shot for no reason at all. Now policemen are going to have to worry about getting their coffee in the morning, because they never know who might shoot them.

R.I.P. They are great people willing to give their lives for the safety of the rest of us. That is a true hero..

An honest mistake? That's a BIG mistake!

Earlier today I was reading about a drunken 4-year-old boy...4 years old!! This is an article from Medford News

"A 4-year-old boy police say left his home, beer in hand and prowled the neighborhood stealing Christmas presents, has been removed from his mother's home.

State officials confirm that 4-year-old Hayden Wright has been removed from his mother's home and is staying with relatives while the case is under investigation. The boy is with other unnamed family members... and his mother, 21-year-old April Wright, is able to visit the child.

April Wright says she is going through a divorce with her husband, who is in jail on drug and theft charges. She says she is not sure how her 4-year-old managed to get out of the house, open a beer, and steal the neighbors presents from under their tree.

The child, Hayden Wright, was found around 1:45 am Tuesday, wandering the streets of his neighborhood. In a police reports, officers said he was wearing a little girl's dress and drinking a beer. The police report says the child had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for alcohol consumption.

Wright says she woke up that night at 1:45 am and panicked when she found Hayden was gone. She says she put safety devices on all the doors so her kids couldn't get out, but Hayden was able to break the safety device off the doorknob and get outside.

"He runs away trying to find his father," Wright said. "He wants to get in trouble so he can go to jail because that's where his daddy is."

The police report said Hayden sneaked into a neighbor's house through an unlocked front door, and stole five wrapped Christmas gifts. One was a girl's brown dress which Hayden was wearing when police found him.

"Going to the neighbor's house and taking their presents, very embarrassing," said April.
She admits she was not just embarrassed, but scared. She said she tries to be a good mother and loves her son, but now feels like a failure.

"Kids do things like this and it's out of your control, you can do the best you can as a mother, everyone makes mistakes, it was an honest mistake," she said...."

What I would like to know, is How does that even happen?? I mean wouldn't the mother notice at some point in time? Sometimes you have to wonder about people....

A producer from Uruguay who uploaded a short film to YouTube in November 2009 has been offered a $30m (£18.6m) contract to make a Hollywood film. The movie will be sponsored by director Sam Raimi, whose credits include the Spiderman and Evil Dead films.

Fede Alvarez's short film "Ataque de Panico!" (Panic Attack!) featured giant robots invading and destroying Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay.

It is 4 mins 48 seconds long and has had more than 1.5 million views so far.

"I uploaded (Panic Attack!) on a Thursday and on Monday my inbox was totally full of e-mails from Hollywood studios," he told the BBC's Latin American service BBC Mundo.

"It was amazing, we were all shocked."

The movie Mr Alvarez has been asked to produce is a sci-fi film to be shot in Uruguay and Argentina. He says he intends to start from scratch and develop a new story for the project.

"If some director from some country can achieve this just uploading a video to YouTube, it obviously means that anyone could do it," he added.

Mz. Clause

My Best friend Taneesha wrote a poem the other day in English class....Then she sent it to me, So I thought I would share it.

"Naughty Mz. Clause
Has a job to do
She comes down your chimney
Her whip in hand.
Her outfit is arousing
And here in your house she is looking.
She comes into his bedroom
And hand cuffs him to the bed
She stands over him and says
“ What do you want for Christmas?’
He lays, wide eyed, on his bed
And of course he says “you!”.
After Mz. Clause is done
She leaves him happy.
He will always remember that night
When ms clause gave him a visit
To this naughty little boy!!

By Taneesha T.
.........It had been quiet, the backyard in winter. So quiet that if you looked straight up you could hear the sounds of the universe. The explosions on Jupiter and the storms on the  Saturn and the thin slivers of mythical ice that you imagined froze ever harder on Mars. You could hear the crash of meteors and the flares in the sun and the birthing pains of planets in galaxies far,far away......

Daddy, why did we have to attack Iraq?

(copied from Stephthegeek)
Questions and Answers about Foreign Policy (and the U.S. Invasion of Iraq)
Q:Daddy, why did we have to attack Iraq?
A:Because they had weapons of mass destruction.
Q:But the inspectors didn't find any weapons of mass destruction.
A:That's because the Iraqis were hiding them.
Q:And that's why we invaded Iraq?
A:Yep. Invasions always work better than inspections.
Q:But after we invaded them, we STILL didn't find any weapons of mass destruction, did we?
A:That's because the weapons are so well hidden. Don't worry, we'll find something, probably right before the 2004 election.
Q:Why did Iraq want all those weapons of mass destruction?
A:To use them in a war, silly.
Q:I'm confused. If they had all those weapons that they planned to use in a war, then why didn't they use any of those weapons when we went to war with them?
A:Well, obviously they didn't want anyone to know they had those weapons, so they chose to die by the thousands rather than defend themselves.
Q:That doesn't make sense. Why would they choose to die if they had all those big weapons with which they could have fought back?
A:It's a different culture. It's not supposed to make sense.
Q:I don't know about you, but I don't think they had any of those weapons our government said they did.
A:Well, you know, it doesn't matter whether or not they had those weapons. We had another good reason to invade them anyway.
Q:And what was that?
A:Even if Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction, Saddam Hussein was a cruel dictator, which is another good reason to invade another country.
Q:Why? What does a cruel dictator do that makes it OK to invade his country?
A:Well, for one thing, he tortured his own people.
Q:Kind of like what they do in China?
A:Don't go comparing China to Iraq. China is a good economic competitor, where millions of people work for slave wages in sweatshops to make U.S. corporations richer.
Q:So if a country lets its people be exploited for American corporate gain, it's a good country, even if that country tortures people?
Q:Why were people in Iraq being tortured?
A:For political crimes, mostly, like criticizing the government. People who criticized the government in Iraq were sent to prison and tortured.
Q:Isn't that exactly what happens in China?
A:I told you, China is different.
Q:What's the difference between China and Iraq?
A:Well, for one thing, Iraq was ruled by the Ba'ath party, while China is Communist.
Q:Didn't you once tell me Communists were bad?
A:No, just Cuban Communists are bad.
Q:How are the Cuban Communists bad?
A:Well, for one thing, people who criticize the government in Cuba are sent to prison and tortured.
Q:Like in Iraq?
Q:And like in China, too?
A:I told you, China's a good economic competitor. Cuba, on the other hand, is not.
Q:How come Cuba isn't a good economic competitor?
A:Well, you see, back in the early 1960s, our government passed some laws that made it illegal for Americans to trade or do any business with Cuba until they stopped being Communists and started being capitalists like us.
Q:But if we got rid of those laws, opened up trade with Cuba, and started doing business with them, wouldn't that help the Cubans become capitalists?
A:Don't be a smart-ass.
Q:I didn't think I was being one.
A:Well, anyway, they also don't have freedom of religion in Cuba.
Q:Kind of like China and the Falun Gong movement?
A:I told you, stop saying bad things about China. Anyway, Saddam Hussein came to power through a military coup, so he's not really a legitimate leader anyway.
Q:What's a military coup?
A:That's when a military general takes over the government of a country by force, instead of holding free elections like we do in the United States.
Q:Didn't the ruler of Pakistan come to power by a military coup?
A:You mean General Pervez Musharraf? Uh, yeah, he did, but Pakistan is our friend.
Q:Why is Pakistan our friend if their leader is illegitimate?
A:I never said Pervez Musharraf was illegitimate.
Q:Didn't you just say a military general who comes to power by forcibly overthrowing the legitimate government of a nation is an illegitimate leader?
A:Only Saddam Hussein. Pervez Musharraf is our friend, because he helped us invade Afghanistan.
Q:Why did we invade Afghanistan?
A:Because of what they did to us on September 11th.
Q:What did Afghanistan do to us on September 11th?
A:Well, on September 11th, nineteen men - fifteen of them Saudi Arabians - hijacked four airplanes and flew three of them into buildings in New York and Washington, killing 3,000 innocent people.
Q:So how did Afghanistan figure into all that?
A:Afghanistan was where those bad men trained, under the oppressive rule of the Taliban.
Q:Aren't the Taliban those bad radical Islamics who chopped off people's heads and hands?
A:Yes, that's exactly who they were. Not only did they chop off people's heads and hands, but they oppressed women, too.
Q:Didn't the Bush administration give the Taliban 43 million dollars back in May of 2001?
A:Yes, but that money was a reward because they did such a good job fighting drugs.
Q:Fighting drugs?
A:Yes, the Taliban were very helpful in stopping people from growing opium poppies.
Q:How did they do such a good job?
A:Simple. If people were caught growing opium poppies, the Taliban would have their hands and heads cut off.
Q:So, when the Taliban cut off people's heads and hands for growing flowers, that was OK, but not if they cut people's heads and hands off for other reasons?
A:Yes. It's OK with us if radical Islamic fundamentalists cut off people's hands for growing flowers, but it's cruel if they cut off people's hands for stealing bread.
Q:Don't they also cut off people's hands and heads in Saudi Arabia?
A:That's different. Afghanistan was ruled by a tyrannical patriarchy that oppressed women and forced them to wear burqas whenever they were in public, with death by stoning as the penalty for women who did not comply.
Q:Don't Saudi women have to wear burqas in public, too?
A:No, Saudi women merely wear a traditional Islamic body covering.
Q:What's the difference?
A:The traditional Islamic covering worn by Saudi women is a modest yet fashionable garment that covers all of a woman's body except for her eyes and fingers. The burqa, on the other hand, is an evil tool of patriarchal oppression that covers all of a woman's body except for her eyes and fingers.
Q:It sounds like the same thing with a different name.
A:Now, don't go comparing Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. The Saudis are our friends.
Q:But I thought you said 15 of the 19 hijackers on September 11th were from Saudi Arabia.
A:Yes, but they trained in Afghanistan.
Q:Who trained them?
A:A very bad man named Osama bin Laden.
Q:Was he from Afghanistan?
A:Uh, no, he was from Saudi Arabia too. But he was a bad man, a very bad man.
Q:I seem to recall he was our friend once.
A:Only when we helped him and the mujahadeen repel the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan back in the 1980s.
Q:Who are the Soviets? Was that the Evil Communist Empire Ronald Reagan talked about?
A:There are no more Soviets. The Soviet Union broke up in 1990 or thereabouts, and now they have elections and capitalism like us. We call them Russians now.
Q:So the Soviets - I mean, the Russians - are now our friends?
A:Well, not really. You see, they were our friends for many years after they stopped being Soviets, but then they decided not to support our invasion of Iraq, so we're mad at them now. We're also mad at the French and the Germans because they didn't help us invade Iraq either.
Q:So the French and Germans are evil, too?
A:Not exactly evil, but just bad enough that we had to rename French fries and French toast to Freedom Fries and Freedom Toast.
Q:Do we always rename foods whenever another country doesn't do what we want them to do?
A:No, we just do that to our friends. Our enemies, we invade.
Q:But wasn't Iraq one of our friends back in the 1980s?
A:Well, yeah. For a while.
Q:Was Saddam Hussein ruler of Iraq back then?
A:Yes, but at the time he was fighting against Iran, which made him our friend, temporarily.
Q:Why did that make him our friend?
A:Because at that time, Iran was our enemy.
Q:Isn't that when he gassed the Kurds?
A:Yeah, but since he was fighting against Iran at the time, we looked the other way, to show him we were his friend.
Q:So anyone who fights against one of our enemies automatically becomes our friend?
A:Most of the time, yes.
Q:And anyone who fights against one of our friends is automatically an enemy?
A:Sometimes that's true, too. However, if American corporations can profit by selling weapons to both sides at the same time, all the better.
A:Because war is good for the economy, which means war is good for America. Also, since God is on America's side, anyone who opposes war is a godless unAmerican Communist. Do you understand now why we attacked Iraq?
Q:I think so. We attacked them because God wanted us to, right?
Q:But how did we know God wanted us to attack Iraq?
A:Well, you see, God personally speaks to George W. Bush and tells him what to do.
Q:So basically, what you're saying is that we attacked Iraq because George W. Bush hears voices in his head?
A:Yes! You finally understand how the world works. Now close your eyes, make yourself comfortable, and go to sleep. Good night.
Q:Good night, Daddy.

I am the God

What does it matter?

I was just reading about a 4-year-old, who got kicked out of school, because his hair was to long. The school officals said that his hair is considered a distraction, and he can't come back until his hair is above his ears. But why does the length of his hair matter??? I mean girls have the same length and longer hair, They don't get in trouble for the length of their hair.... So why can't he have his hair the way he wants? It's no different than a girl having long hair.

Mud on the Tires

Today, my mom and I were just leaving our house, and it has been raining non-stop at my house. My mom pulled out of the driveway, or tried to anyway...But the mud was so thick, she got stuck in OUR DRIVEWAY!! We never even made it to the road, and she had to put it in 4 wheel drive (4WD)....but then while she was trying to get unstuck, I turned up the radio....and of course the song that was playing was "Mud on the tires" by Brad Paisley....coincidence much??

(We did finally get unstuck) :D

Google Chrome Browser Now avaliable for Linux

Google  finally released a beta version of its Chrome Web browser for Linux on Dec. 8, slightly more than one year after releasing its Chrome browser for Microsoft  Windows. The wait was worth it, especially given the more than 300 extensions already available to customize the new browser.
Because Linux distributions are numerous, Google ported the Chrome code to a select handful of the most popular distros. Chrome for Linux is so far only available for the Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora and OpenSuse distros.
It's late at night and I can't sleep
Missing you just runs to deep
I can't breathe thinking of your smile

I just wanna be with you
'Cause living it's so hard to do
When all I know it's trapped inside you eyes
'Cause I know that this flame isn't dying

God I wish I could make you see

Google Chrome Os

Google raised curtains on its yet to come Chrome OS, the new OS based on Linux and the Chrome browser. Though Chrome OS final will reach users approx. after a year google threw some more hints on how it will look and work.

It's going to be Web OS - the entire system will run in the Chrome browser. The browser is the place that will show up your USB drive contents, Google Apps (Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Hulu, and Google Docs among others). It will use an SSD to speed up the system, the rest everything will live in the cloud. So, it's clear that the Google Chrome OS is for those who primarily use the web.

Being a totally opensource project, it's clear that it can be made (by enthusiasts) to run on regular desktops and laptops. Well, wait and watch, there is still a year to go. For more info visit Google Blog.

Sir Barney's Post on His blog

During a seventeen course meal the other night, I realized something: I talk a lot about women on my blog. And while that’s great and my advice has led to innumerable amounts of lay-age, sometimes it leaves other things by the wayside. Like food. I’ve been increasing my caloric intake ever so slightly as of late and you’d be surprised how describing the life force of the world can be synonymous with describing the life force of my bedroom. Don’t believe me? Take a look at the phrases below and try and figure out whether I’m describing a girl or type of food. Good luck.

1. “Tasty white breast”

2. “Large, meaty and can ruin your night”

3. “Swedish meatballs”

4. “The hottest thing ever”

5. “Just turned 18.”

6. “Asian fusion”

7. “Full of crabs”

8. “Ham and cheese sandwich on toasted rye bread”

Answer key:

1. Food: Chicken

2. Food: Steak Burrito

3. Girl: Swedish breasts

4. Trick question: Food/Girl: Buffalo wings / Heidi Klum eating buffalo wings

5. Food: Single Malt Scotch (yeah, I know it’s a drink)

6. Girl: Lucy Liu + Kelly Hu + the Barnacle.

7. Food: Any Red Lobster restaurant

8. Food: It says ham and cheese on toasted rye bread. Use your brains.

Convention of those wounded in love..:)

General provisions:
A – Whereas the saying “all is fair in love and war” is absolutely correct;
B – Whereas for war we have the Geneva Convention, approved on 22 August 1864, which provides for those wounded in the battle field, but until now no convention has been signed concerning those wounded in love, who are far greater in number;

It is hereby decreed that:
Article 1 – All lovers, of any sex, are alerted that love, besides being a blessing, is also something extremely dangerous, unpredictable and capable of causing serious damage. Consequently, anyone planning to love should be aware that they are exposing their body and soul to various types of wounds, and that they shall not be able to blame their partner at any moment, since the risk is the same for both.

Article 2 – Once struck by a stray arrow fired from Cupid’s bow, they should immediately ask the archer to shoot the same arrow in the opposite direction, so as not to be afflicted by the wound known as “unrequited love”. Should Cupid refuse to perform such a gesture, the Convention now being promulgated demands that the wounded partner remove the arrow from his/her heart and throw it in the garbage. In order to guarantee this, those concerned should avoid telephone calls, messages over the Internet, sending flowers that are always returned, or each and every means of seduction, since these may yield results in the short run but always end up wrong after a while. The Convention decrees that the wounded person should immediately seek the company of other people and try to control the obsessive thought: “this person is worth fighting for”.

Article 3 – If the wound is caused by third parties, in other words if the loved one has become interested in someone not in the script previously drafted, vengeance is expressly forbidden. In this case, it is allowed to use tears until the eyes dry up, to punch walls or pillows, to insult the ex-partner in conversations with friends, to allege his/her complete lack of taste, but without offending their honor. The Convention determines that the rule contained in Article 2 be applied: seek the company of other persons, preferably in places different from those frequented by the other party.

Article 4 – In the case of light wounds, herein classified as small treacheries, fulminating passions that are short-lived, passing sexual disinterest, the medicine called Pardon should be applied generously and quickly. Once this medicine has been applied, one should never reconsider one’s decision, not even once, and the theme must be completely forgotten and never used as an argument in a fight or in a moment of hatred.

Article 5 – In all definitive wounds, also known as “breaking up”, the only medicine capable of having an effect is called Time. It is no use seeking consolation from fortune-tellers (who always say that the lost lover will return), romantic books (which always have a happy ending), soap-operas on the television or other such things. One should suffer intensely, completely avoiding drugs, tranquilizers and praying to saints. Alcohol is only tolerated if kept to a maximum of two glasses of wine a day.

Final determination:
Those wounded in love, unlike those wounded in armed conflict, are neither victims nor torturers. They chose something that is part of life, and so they have to accept both the agony and the ecstasy of their choice.
And those who have never been wounded in love will never be able to say: “I have lived”. Because they haven’t.

A rather bizarre study carried out by German researchers suggests that staring at women’s breasts is good for men’s health and increases their life expectancy.According to Dr. Karen Weatherby, a gerontologist and author of the study, gawking at women’s breasts is a healthy practice, almost at par with an intense exercise regime, that prolongs the lifespan of a man by five years. She added, “Just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well-endowed female, is roughly equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out.”
So now you are increasing your health even when you are checking out boobs of some chick.

Boobs, Boobs
by Amit Varma
Boobs, boobs, so upright
In the forests of the night,
What masculine hand or eye
Could resist thy fearful symmetry?

Forget the distant deeps and thighs
Forget the lustre of the eyes
Your thought alone makes men perspire
What the hand dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder and what art
Under the choli is thy heart
And when thy heart begins to beat,
Your bosom heaves, I feel complete.

Boobs, boobs, so upright
In the forests of the night,
I come to thee, I come to thee
I’ll tear thy bra and set thee free.

Who is she to judge?

Today I was talking to one of my friends(I'm not going to call her by her full name, So we will call her "C")....and she found out that I talk to people from different nationalities, I mean there's Indian, Chinese, Mexican, and one of my closest friends is part Venezuelan. They are some of the nicest people that you will ever meet, but C doesn't think so....She thinks there is nothing worse than mixing nationalities...And what is soooooo wrong about it??? Today, C was saying all kinds of bad stuff about my friends just because of who they were..Which to not okay...Especially when she has never met any of them.. So how does she think she can get away with saying stuff like that?? You know, some people will just kind of get quite when someone talks about their friends, but not me, I make sure and stick up for my friends, because it doesn't matter what race, or nationality they are..They are my friends, and they will stick by me, no matter what..

December 07, 2009

I was just reading blog written by Mr. Pritish Nandy who is a famous film maker, politician and poet. He some time back wrote a post on blocking of which is a porn site.
He wrote
" know why I love Savita Bhabhi. She's Indian. She's sexy and she wears a sari.

By banning her site, the I&B Ministry has demonstrated (yet again) how men want to control women all the time. What is Savita Bhabhi's greatest appeal? That she is a typical Bharatiya nari who is brave enough to demonstrate that when it comes to sex she's no pushover. I have known many women like her who pretend to succumb to the sexual politics that men incessantly play around them and yet manage to get their way by cleverly manipulating the XXL male ego. So even as they play coy and  subjugated, they are actually free women who live their lives on their own terms. I admire such women and worship on their altar.

No wonder Savita Bhabhi for me is iconic. She's the woman who can take all her sexual decisions on her own without fretting over them......"

And i just want to say on this topic to him....
"Mr. Nandy i m not fully agree  with you.Woman liberation is other part and the blocking of a porn site is another.Which woman do you characterize as savita bhabhi in your home or your work place?Savita bhabhi is not a part of our culture. She was just created to cater few internet users."

Jai Ho

Oct 5,12:53AM
I just completed the movie Freedom writers. And in between the movie lots of thoughts are bubbling inside my mind, and I feel after the movie that I must write something about this movie.
This movie is based on racism in USA. It shows that how the blacks hates the whites, Asian dislikes the persons from the gulf countries. It is a story of high school kids and their classroom and their teacher. Classroom full of different races, whites, blacks,Asians, all of them. They hate each other, they fight each other.
Why ????
Because they are different or because they have different looks like color and all that stuff......

No this is not the reason of there hater, the reason is their thoughts …..and the thoughts are developed because of their knowledge....once they started learning things they are all together different persons.

Why the story of this movie make a big effect on my mind??
The answer is because this is the same story happening in each part of the world, even in my own country India. Here Hindus hates Muslims,Muslims hates Hindus, south Indians hates north Indians, city people hates villagers. We have tons of poison in our heart, against whom??? Against our own people, our own brothers and sisters.
But WHY?????
Why the fuck we hate our own family???
India is famous for it's “World is a Home” Spirit. Nowadays we guys are fucking this spirit. Who the hale is this “Raj Thakere” ??? How can he say that North Indians are not accepted in Mumbai???
“Uske baap ki hai Mumbai”?????
We are the Indians and we can live where ever in India as we want. And no fucking politician can stop us to do this.

Awh, come on, I've heard the expression "a few bad apples", but this is
just ridiculous.

I've heard that before somewhere. I just can't remember where...

According to Hindustan Times:-

JP Dutta’s assistant Surender Suri is directing a film titled "Ganatantra",which is based on the Varun Gandhi’s infamous hate speech and journalist Soumya Vishwanathan’s murder.Rajan Verma, who essayed the role of Kasab in Total Ten, a film on the 26/11 terror attacks, is now playing Varun Gandhi. The film will depict a love story between the characters played by Varun and Soumya.

Stay Hungary Stay Foolish

Yesterday i finished "Stay Hungary Stay Foolish" by Rashmi Bansal. This book covers 25 IIMA grads who chose a different path in there life and became entrepreneur. This book have the stories of birth of various Internet field firms like and, various Financial field firms like Edelweiss Capital, pharma field firms like Orchid pharma and even the off color once like Shree Ranuka Sugars.
The Author is also also from IIMA and the book is written with the help of CIIE(Center for innovation and entrepreneurship) at IIMA and funded by Wadhwani Fundation.
Following are some of the lines i liked most in the book:-----

/*Being an entrepreneur is the art and science of creating values.*/

/*To drive towards your goal, you are working on a path. But that path is not 100% right. You are correcting yourself by learning,by experience, and making these correction and moving forward on the system and coming out a winner....The sheer value of learning, everyday,is what keeps you going. */

/* In every business, the more you know about the grassroots, the better. */

/* If you believe in a product, never give it up.You will succeed. It may take time,it will cost money.*/

/* There is potential in every business.Like a school is not profitable in terms of money, but it's profitable in terms of developing character. There, the profit is different, developing human potential. So the word 'profit' I use,but not necessary in terms of rupees. */

/*...Always differentiate between a plan and an aspiration. There is always a short term plan, but there are always long term aspiration. */

/*You always run a risk,it's a game of probabilities.You have to be sporting...however good you are,you may get out for a duck.*/

/*One has to have a creative streak if one needs to be an entrepreneur.A strong desire to want to create something and to make that happen.*/

About Book:----
This book is motivating in nature but the language used are not very attractive and is ambiguous at some places.
But most read for a MBA aspirant.

Image Packaging System-open solaris

The image packaging system, is an attempt to design and implement a software delivery system with interaction with a network repository as its primary design goal. Other key ideas are: safe execution for zones and other installation contexts, use of ZFS for efficiency and rollback, preventing the introduction of incorrect or incomplete packages, and efficient use of bandwidth.
After an initial installation of OpenSolaris 2008.11 operating system, you will find that many of the software applications that you use on a regular basis are not immediately available to you. These software applications are available as packages in a repository for downloading and installing over the internet. A repository is a source for packages.

The Image Packaging System enables users to connect to the repository and download and install packages.

The OpenSolaris 2008.11 release uses IPS for its packaging system. Besides installing packages from a repository, users can create and publish their own IPS packages, set up an OpenSolaris repository, mirror an existing repository, and publish existing packages to a repository.
Once you have installed packages, IPS enables you to search, update, and manage packages on your system.

With IPS , you can upgrade your system to a newer build of OpenSolaris, install and update your software to the latest available versions in a repository, and retrieve packages from mirror repositories.

If the system on which IPS is installed is on the network, IPS can automatically access the OpenSolaris repository. For the OpenSolaris 2008.11 release, your IPS client can access the packages from

Summer Project

I am very excited about it or you can say i am on cloud nine.

Sun and Oracle

On April 20, 2009, Sun and Oracle announced a definitive agreement under which Oracle will acquire Sun common stock for $9.50 per share in cash. The transaction is valued at approximately $7.4 billion, or $5.6 billion net of Sun's cash and debt. The proposed transaction is subject to Sun stockholder approval, certain regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Until the deal closes, each company will continue to operate independently, and it is business as usual.

The acquisition combines best-in-class enterprise software and mission-critical computing systems. Oracle plans to engineer and deliver an integrated system—applications to disk—where all the pieces fit and work together so customers do not have to do it themselves. Customers benefit as their system integration costs go down while system performance, reliability and security go up.

And the last puff of the daywind brought from the unseen villages the scent of damp wood-smoke,hot cakes, dripping undergrowth, and rotting pine-cones.That is the true smell of the Himalayas and if once it creeps into the blood of a man, that man will at the last, forgetting all else, return to the hills to die.

RFID:-Radio frequency identification
RFID is a product, person tracking system, which uses the radio frequency for tracking. The tracking chip is called RFID tag. These tags are applied to or incorporated to the target which is to identify.
RFID is of two types:-
1.Passive RFID:-In passive RFID the tag does not have the battery with it and depends on other system for radio wave transmission.
2.Active RFID:-Active RFID have the battery with it for the radio wave transmission.

RFID tags consist of two parts:-
1.Integrated Chip for storing and processing the information and demodulation of radio signals.
2.Antenna for transmission of the radio waves.

RFID chips can be highly miniaturised,in 2009 researchers at Bristol University successfully glued RFID with live ant.
Smallest RFID:-150X150X7.5 microns(Hitachi)(can store 38 digit number)
Race Timing:-RFID tags can be used to calculate the total time in races.RFID tags are used in various Physical endurance test(PET) by Indian railway and the police.
Passports:-RFID is used in the passports in countries like Norway,Ireland,USA,UK,Japan.
Product Tracking:-RFID tags can be used for the tracking of products and can be used to stop the theft of the products.
Library:-In libraries we can use the RFID in place of the Barcodes.

Replacement of Barcode:-RFID is a potential replacement of the barcodes because RFID tag data capability is large enough that each individual tag will have a unique code, while in barcode we have the same code for the same type of product. With the unique code for each product we can monitor each of them.

Problem and concerns:-
Global Standardization
Security Concern
Passport security like breaking of the encryption used in the passport.

wanna make website but dont know how???

Basic:-For a website there are some of the basic things needed
1.Web server example:-Apache,Tomcat,IIS(Internet Information services).
2.Database server example:-MySQL.
3.Client side language example:-HTML.
4.Server Side language example:-php(Hypertext preprocessors),Asp(Active server pages),Jsp(java server pages).

1.Web server:-Web server is the software on which the server side language runs. When we type a url(uniform resource locator), web server sends us the replay. Each web server can run only a specific server side language. For example Apache can run php,and Tomcat can run Jsp.

2.Database server:-Database server is used to store the information's like the user name and passwords, sales information in a online shopping website.Popular database servers are Oracle,Mysql(SUN Microsystem),SqlServer(MS) and DB2(IBM).But for web development Mysql is generally used, because it is light wait and can be integrated with any of the server side language.

3.Client Side Language:-Client side language runs on the client and does not talk to the web server.Example:-HTML(Hyper text markup language).

4.Server Side Languages:-For making the page dynamic and to connect the page with database we use the server side scripting language.Example:-php(open source),ASP(MS),JSP(Sun Microsystem).

Now we have basic knowledge about the terms used in the web development.
We start with our first site.
Requirements:-Web server but for the web server choice first of all we have to choose scripting language and because the php is a open source language and easy to learn we choice php as the scripting language. As Data base server we choose Mysql.

Now you are just step behind your first website:-

1.Installing web server,Data base server and server side language for our site and after installation we have to configure them so that they can work with each other. To make it simple we install preconfigured LAMP(Linux,Apache,Mysql,PHP) software. For this software go to and download xampp and install it to your hard disk.So now we have a web server,a data base server and php on our system.Go to browser and write localhost or to check that web server is running. If it shows some thing like XAMPP in big latter then we are set to make our site.

2.Open text editor(Notepad or gedit) write
and save it as something like firstpage.php(select file type "all files" in notepad). Now go to your browser and type localhost/firstpage.php
And it will show you Hello world.

3.Everything is working and up.Now go to to learn HTML,CSS(cascaded style sheets),JavaScript php,Mysql and go to to learn more about php.You can also download php manual from

4.After learning you can make whatever you want you can even use photoshop and flash for eye candy websites.

Learning resources:-

Happy coding.

Ubuntu 9.04 Vlc problem

In ubuntu 9.04 Vlc opens in two separate Windows one for the video and other for the control. To resolve this problem this is the Layman's guide to installing VLC pre-release 1.0.0. There are a lot of steps but they are easy, and I was trying to break it down remedially. But I am not trying to be condescending.

Also make sure you have the current crummy version 0.9.9 uninstalled before proceeding.

Here is what I did:

1. In Ubuntu goto: System > Administration > Software Sources

2. On the top select the Third Party Software tab

3. Click this weblink:

4. Near the top-left corner (or from here copy):

deb jaunty main

5. Back in Third Party Software click add

6. Paste that copied line into the field box and press Add Source

IMPORTANT!! Make sure that you copy the WHOLE ENTIRE line and not just the glowing URL portion

7. Copy the second line from the webpage:

deb-src jaunty main

8. Repeat steps 5 & 6 for this one as well

9. Minimize but DON'T CLOSE everything; Now go to your Desktop

10. Right-click on anywhere on your desktop and select: Create Document > Empty File and name it something you will remember, like KEYFILE.

11. Open the KEYFILE

12. Back on the webpage click the highlighted portion of:

This repository is signed with 1024R/2F021AC1

13. On this new webpage click on the higlighted portion of: 1024R/2F021AC1

Now you see a whole bunch of "Hieroglyphics"

14. Copy everything that is NOT at the top of the page, bold, and oversized. In other words, copy ONLY this:

Version: SKS 1.0.10

nUVHNuL9955evX+0vuL4iqeUUBh7Ufan3BRPv0ryzLtDAZYfxb 4F0Jya/XoMgYA6mxNFshvt
GsEAWQP/QTthVWFM+7AhMY7r8mkMEXmbnRR97boIL8glQX5QKzKHpcCvd6 kOqVcYsBz6eAMr
yBjRosVw4f01q9pvqvoAqX3UVgCBaaNG+N0uK5JmKAK+4c6fWG rm1ODZitvKdN60AnkazDaU

15. Paste this into your KEYFILE on the desktop. Save & Close. You can also close that weird looking webpage as well.

16. Back in Software Sources, select the Authentication tab

17. Select Import Key File

18. Now browse the KEYFILE you made on the desktop and select OK.

There should now be a third Item there stating something like "Launchpad PPA for Kow"

19. Click Close, and when a new box pops up, click Reload and wait for Ubuntu to do its thing and it will close automatically.

20. Now go back to Add/Remove Applications and try re-adding VLC. You can now delete the KEYFILE as well.

You should now have a "pre-release" version of VLC 1.0.0

Test it out with an AVI file or DVD. Also you can select Help and About and it should say something like: 1.0.0-pre1 Goldeneye

I noticed the video's in Fullscreen mode tend to "chop" when I move my mouse while its playing the movie. But its a Alpha/Beta version of VLC and are still working the bugs. But I can happily live with it because that lousy Separated screen is gone!!

Ubuntu pocket guide

To learn the basics of ubuntu operating system you can download the free ubuntu pocket guide from in pdf format.
This book includes the basics of installation and configuration options.
I think this is the best book for the newbies of this operating system.
Cheers to ubuntu.

The flower said, "I wish I was a tree,"
The tree said, "I wish I could be
A different kind of tree,
The cat wished that it was a bee,
The turtle wished that it could fly
Really high into the sky,
Over rooftops and then dive
Deep into the sea.

And in the sea there is a fish,
A fish that has a secret wish,
A wish to be a big cactus
With a pink flower on it.
And in the sea there is a fish,
A fish that has a secret wish,
A wish to be a big cactus
With a pink flower on it.

And the flower
Would be its offering
Of love to the desert.
And the desert,
So dry and lonely,
That the creatures all
Appreciate the effort.

And the rattlesnake said,
"I wish I had hands so
I could hug you like a man."
And then the cactus said,
"Don't you understand,
My skin is covered with sharp spikes
That'll stab you like a thousand knives.
A hug would be nice,
But hug my flower with your eyes."

ubuntu 9.04

New ubuntu version is out.Yes this is ubuntu 9.04.And as always this release is also awesome.

But do you know why ubuntu 9.04 just after 8.10,wHY??
Let's go deep in this naming convention used by ubuntu community..
Here the number before decimal point signifies the year of release, like 8 for 2008 in ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10.
And the number after the decimal is the month in which the new version is released, like 04 for April and 10 for October.
And one more thing i want to mention here is that, ubuntu release it's new version in each six months.
So now i think you get it why 9.04 just after 8.10(9 for 2009 and 04 for April).

Now back to ubuntu 9.04
Code Name:-Jaunty Jackalope

areee first feisty fawn then gutsy gibbon, then Hardy heron, then Intrepid Ibex and now Jaunty Jackalope,Is there any relation or any sequence is used for the codenames of ubuntu versions?

Yes you are right, they are in Alphabatic order and the new release which is 9.10(in October),has the codename karmic koala.

So i am where???
Oh at the ubuntu 9.04...
So this new version have some much awaited changes. These changes are:-
1.Introduction of send to option for send data to the removable drives.
This send to option is a must need for ubuntu to became operating system for the home users. This option is included as a plugin to nautilus with the other send to options like 'send as Bluetooth' or as a email.
To include this option they use a '.so' file which is present at /usr/lib/nautilus-sendto/plugins.

2.Mulltiple Language support with gedit
The text editor gedit has now support for many languages including php, asp,c,c++,c#,css, ada.

3.More drivers so more computers
Ubuntu 9.04 is released with lots of new drivers like the driver for the broadcom wifi card, atheros wifi card.So now more and more user can use it and it works out of the box.

4. Ext4 by default
You can chose the ext4 file system.
1. Speedup file removing
2. Better and faster allocator
3. Bigger max file size
4. Precision timestamps
5. Bigger max number of folder inclusion
6. Faster indexation
7. Faster checking
8. Re-allocation for better video recording, torrent downloading etc.

5.Open office 3.0
So now with open office version 3.0 you can open the document saved with MS office 2007 in docx format.

6.Fast boot
Now ubuntu boots in just 21.4 sec(with ext4fs).

And the same support and help from ubuntu community.... :o)
